Its time again for the Annual Manantee County YMCA Community Scholarship Campaign 5K Run & 1 Mile Run at the Lakewood Ranch Branch of the Manatee County YMCA
Saturday, May 22nd, 2010
Registration begins at 7:00am. 5K Run begins at 8:00am.
*1 Mile Run begins at 9:00am (register prior to event and SAVE)
Come out for a day of fun and fitness!
5K - $20.00 registration for all Manatee County YMCA Members and LWR Running Club Members. $25.00 Registration fee for all others.
1 Mile - $15.00 Registration fee for participants 15yrs. of age and older. $10.00 registration fee for kids 3-14yrs. of age.
Late Registration on Race Day is $30.00
(PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE A RACE PACK INCLUDING RACE T-SHIRT).

Yes, alot of us are already thinking of Summer. If you need a fun and safe place for your child attend during the summer while you work, look no further, come to the Manatee County YMCA! Mark your calendar, the Manatee YMCA has announced its Day Camp. Registration for members begins March 15th; All others March 22nd. Look for the summer camp brochure available 2nd week of March.
Ensure your children are safe when in and around water! Sign up for “SPLASH” beginning May 1st. A FREE introduction to swimming program for children in Manatee County, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Bradenton. In addition, swim lessons will be held at all branches throughout the summer.

Sarasota Family YMCA Holiday Youth Basketball

The Sarasota Family YMCA Berlin Branch will hold a three-day Holiday Youth Basketball Camp on December 21-23 and on December 28-30 for all kids ages 5-12. It’s time for the Sarasota Family YMCA’s annual Fall Fest on Friday, October 23, 2010.
The fun starts at 6 p.m. with entertainment for all ages. Enjoy a hayride, pony rides, the water park, crafts, games, trick or treating and our haunted house!
Come dressed up for the costume contest. Awards will be given for scariest, most original and best group costumes. Costume contest begins at 7:30 p.m.
At 8 p.m. there will be a flashlight prize hunt at the Alpine Tower.
This event is free to YMCA members who also receive a reduced $3 entry to the Haunted House. Non-member cost is $5 per person, and includes haunted house entry.
All members must scan in at the main building or aquatics center gate to receive a participation wristband. Non-members must check in (with photo ID) at the registration tent to receive a wristband.
Hot dogs and popcorn will be served while supplies last. You must have a wristband to eat.

Ringling Bridge Run IV and Family Festival- January 24th

About 2,000 participants are expected for this year, A four-mile race and one-mile family fun run. The post-race family festival held at the start/finish line at the Van Wezel includes games, food vendors, face painting and more activities.
Registration fees will benefit the Bari Brooks Teen Center at the Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Branch of the YMCA. The center is a hangout spot for teens to enjoy spending time with their friends in a safe and drug-free environment. Throughout the school year and summer vacation,the teen center hosts dances, game parties, tutoring and youth fitness sessions.
The age divisions for the four-mile race start at 9 and under and go through 85+. Awards will be given to overall Male & Female Masters and Grand Master and awards are presented six deep in all of the four-mile age categories. All Fun Run participants will receive a ribbon.
