Local skaters Caydee Denney and Jeremy Barrett are headed to the Olympics next month in Vancouver. Caydee who is from Wesley Chapel and Jeremy from Venice, call Ellenton Ice home there home and will give Manatee and Sarasota residents someone local to cheer for. The pair has been skating together for less than two years  and now they are headed to Vancouver. It just goes to show what hard work and dedication can do.  The Winter Games begin on February 12.

Congratulations to the Pirate organization.

The Bradenton Marauders, whose name and identity were announced on Tuesday will play in the Florida State League as Pittsburgh’s Class A Advanced affiliate.
