Little League World Series Expands Replay Usage

Love it or hate it, technology is playing a larger role in our kids daily routine.
ENTER LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL.
Little League World Series officials are expanding the sport’s now-limited use of video-replay challenges, starting with the 64th annual tournament Aug. 20. The rule changes will now allow team managers the opportunity to challenge disputed plays, much like the NFL.
Now, opposing managers as well as umpires will have the opportunity to get a second opinion. Managers, like pro football coaches, will be able to make further challenges only as long as as their challenges are sustained and the call reversed. Once a manager gets one wrong, his right to challenge ends for that game -– unless play goes beyond the standard six innings, upon which they’d granted another challenge.
