Has anyone ever told you the difference between a chicken and an eagle during a storm?  The chicken hides under the barn until the storm passes, whereas the eagle spreads its wings wide and uses the violent wind of the storm to fly higher than it can during the calm. Butch Lumpkin is definitely an eagle! For more information check out Butchs’ website at butchlumpkin.org

After having a perfect 12-0 regular season, the Lakewood Ranch girls golf team finished second at the 2AD14 Championship on October 19. A great championship match was held at Deep Creek Golf Club in Punta Gorda where the Lady Mustangs shot a 365. Just three strokes behind the district champion Charlotte.

The Mustangs finished eighth in the state 2A last year and worked hard all summer to improve. All the hard work paid off for them with a undefeated season.

Way to Go Lady Mustangs!

We are headed to Orlando this week, not to see the big mouse, but to attend the 2009 PGA Merchandise Show at the Orange County Convention Center. If you’re a golfer or someone who likes to test out products, you should make it a point to attend. In the upcoming weeks, we will be reviewing products that we saw at the show and offering some of our “FREEBIES” as prizes for our upcoming contests.
