After coming out to a quick 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter the Hurricanes would not let up on the Palm Bay Bayside team. The Canes beat Bayside with a final score of 31-14. Manatee ended up with 131 passing yards and 226 rushing yards.

Manatee will be at home this Friday night at Hawkins Stadium against St. Thomas Aquinas, one of the top rated teams by USA Today.

If the Hurricanes win on Friday night they will play for the Class 5A-Region 3 State Title on December 11th at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

This Friday’s game (November 6th) football game between the Braden River Pirates and the Lemon Bay Manta Rays will begin at 7 p.m. and NOT 7:30 as most games do. Plan to leave a bit early and drive down to  Englewood and enjoy a great night of High School Football.

With an 8-0 season, the Manatee High JV football team is unbeaten again. This is the second time in the last four seasons that the JV Hurricanes have had a perfect record.

Led by freshman quarterback Cord Sandberg, the Hurricanes outscored there opponents by a 48-6 average and with help from the defense who only allowed three teams to score touchdowns against them all season.

CONGRATULATIONS HURRICAINES !!!!
