Its time for our annual IPOD giveaway with the Sports Family Magazine Writing Contest.
Here is your assignment.
Go to a local sports game (any division / any sport) and write a story about what happened. Be as descriptive as possible and pay close attention to what is going on at the game. There are three divisions (5-10 age group), (11-14 age group) and( 15 and up age group).

Include in your email your Name, Address, Age, Grade, Telephone Number and email address. All entries must be recieved by October 31, 2009.

Manatee County I9 Sports Announces 2010 Winter Registration

Manatee County I9 Sports is currently registering for the winter season now through November 21, 2009. The season begins on January 16, 2010 and runs through March 20, 2010. Programs offered during the winter season are Flag Football, Soccer, Basketball and Cheerleading. Events are played in Lakewood Ranch at Dan Nolan Middle School, Parrish at the Parrish United Methodist Church and in West Bradenton at the First Church of the Nazarene.
Early registration discounts are available through October 31, 2009 and multi child discounts and multi season sport discounts are available.
If you want to see what I9 Sports is all about, stop by the Parrish location on Saturday’s from 8am-11am or the Lakewood Ranch location between 8am-12pm also on Saturday’s. Sarasota Millionaires Ready For the 2009-2010 Season

The Millionaires are ready to start the season after just finishing up their tryouts at Booker High School. Doug Miles of Milestone Productions gets a brief interview with Steve Pettibone who tried out for the team. The Sarasota Millionaires play in the Florida Football Alliance. Venice High School is on its way to winning another district title in Volleyball. Last night, in district play, Naples Gulf Coast was the latest victim of the Indians 25-12, 25-14, 25-16. This was the final match before the Indians travel to Chicago, Illinois to play in the Mother McCauley ASICS Challenge. The Indians will play Downers Grove South of Illinois and Notre Dame Academy of Covington, KY.
